 In EUROVISION DIARY 2019

Hejsan Hejsan!

It’s me again!

Welcome to one of the coolest cities in the world, and the Eurovision Song Contest 2019!

The 8 months of pre-production went by very fast but gave us time to learn to fall head over heels in love with this city, the people, the food, the sun, the wine, history and culture.

So, a BIG thank you to KAN for inviting us to this adventure. You are a crazy bunch of people! Spontaneous, organic, warm, welcoming, generous, unpredictable, creative and absolutely wonderful!

Me and my usual partner in crime, Tobias Åberg, has been working closer to the national market than ever before, and it has been a very interesting and educational journey for us, with many great moments and memories along the way. But all you old readers will find some familiar faces in the team for sure.

The Expo Tel Aviv is the perfect platform for a Eurovision production. The huge footprint, all the halls and facilities has allowed us to plan a production and flow that we believe will be very comfortable for you.

The 2019 stage has an iconic design and is extremely versatile with its 12 revolving LED panels, the LED floor and all the stage items that are connected to our advanced automation system, including the triangles and the four gigantic legs. And of course we got tons of lighting and pyro as well, but that comes without saying!

There will be two major changes with the diary this year. I will only be able to do 5 updates a week, but the good news is that I’ve finally found a freaking stereo mic that works with the camera, so hopefully there will be some more vlogging this year. Vlogging?? That is just a stupid word isn’t it?

Anyway, pack your towel and sunscreen, and come and join us in the sunshine for a rollercoster of a lifetime!

Baruch Habah to Tel Aviv!
