8 days to go to the Grand Final and only 4 to the first semifinal! Pressure to deliver is ON! From all sides.
Amir and Sivan start every day with a briefing with all of their photographers and pilots. We built a second viewing room for them, so they can go over all the notes and making all changes for camera according to the wishes from the delegation viewing room. Every single frame of this show is under the loupe.
Meanwhile, the team in front of the stage is getting ready for another day filled with music. The delegations are in the best of hands for sure!
Russia was in the house a couple of days ago! Ekaterina is one of my FAVORITE Head of Delegations! She always challenges us to the maximum, and always deliver with precision. It's a pleasure working with you girl! But where is my caviar????
And Philipp Kirkorov is of course one of my favorite song writers. I know I'm not supposed to be bios, but then again, I'm famous for not caring too much about that...........
It was great to see Sergey Lazarev again. Russia got the same together again as in 2016 and they put on a great performance. The three minutes that I am most proud of in my long Eurovision career is Sergey's performance in 2016. If you don't agree with that this is the best thing you ever seen, you are, how should I put this............. stupid?????
Since we allow press in the arena now, we're finally allowed to show off our stage and all the funky things it can do.
We're in the second round of reharsal's of the semifinals and things are coming together quite well. But we still got ways to go before we're ready for a broadcast. But we'll get there! We always do!
All rehearsals are with full production. The last take of each song is with pyro. And we got plenty of that! Here is what we loaded up with:

Australia is putting artists on sticks and hoping to win!
While Iceland are putting people in a cage, hoping for the same. I love them both!
Tarmo, whom is a well known Eurovision fan loves it all! All of it!
See you cats tomorrow!
Hejsan Hoppsan and welcome to our day off! Since it was Indepenence Day yesterday, we decided to trade music with sand and water!
At 08:00 AM, we crawled into a buss to go to the Dead Sea. We were just as fuzzy as this image and many of us brought pillows. The ride is 1,5 hours Israeli time, which translates to exactly 150 minutes. But that included a beer break at 09:30
We were told to use sunscreen and drink a lot. So, after oiling up, it was time to get the drinks. You don't want to dehydrate! We didn't!
We bought day passes at the Crown Plaza resort so this was our view for the day. The mountains on the other side of the sea is Jordan. So don't swim too far, unless you bring your passport.
This water is one of the saltiest in the world. 1 kg of water contains 345 grams of salt! Sooooo trippy!
So, you just walk out in the water, fall backwards, and float. All day long! Just float. No problems.
The sea floor is not sand. It's covered with salt chrystals that gives the water this cool color.
Regardless what you do, you float. You can even sit in it. Didn't see a fish all day long though.
The one thing you can't do is breast stroke. We all tried, but it's hard since your feet are not in water. And you should really not get this water in your face. Unless you hate yourself!
Over the last 10 years they sold 1 air matress............. And we are pretty sure that it's impossible to drown here.
It was such a unique and cool experience to go here! So don't miss out on this if you happen to be in the hood! One of the coolest things I've ever seen!
Tomorrow we'll be back with reports from the glitter cave!
Hejsan Hejsan and welcome back to sunny and warm Tel Aviv!
Every morning she is standing there, patiently waiting for me. My beautiful golf cart! Her name is Dolly! But three minutes after me arriving, our catering manager Marina snatch Dolly and I don't see her for the rest of the day...........
We got Latvia in da house! I did my first Melodifestivalen together with Rennie Mirro and my third Eurovision with Zita Kaminska! That is one of the things I love with this show. You bump into good friends from all over the world almost every hour of the day!
That goes for these two fine gentlemen as well. Robin Hoffwander was the multi camera director for Eurovision 2013 & 2016 together with Fredrik Jönsson whom was the lighting designer for those two shows. Fredrik was one of the lighting operators already back in 2000, which was my first Eurovision ever. He insisted to run the show on a Vari*Lite Virtuoso console. Turns out that this was the first real show that this desk did, ever....... hardly no problems at all...........
It feels like pretty much anyone can get a pass and get into the show these days......... including wonderful weirdo Mikko Linnavuori. I've done two or three Eurovisions with this cat. Not sure how many. There is usually lots of drinks involved when we get together..........
Since we had Sweden in da house yesterday, it was a given that the Swedish Embassy wanted to join. So, we invited Swedish Ambassador Magnus Hellgren and his key staff, so they could say hello to John Lundvik and the rest of Team Sweden.
And we gave them the best seats in the hall of course. After all, they represent the ruling world champions in Ice Hockey! Here together with my new business partner Anders Lenhoff. We are about to make a lot of money in midget porn and weapons within soon.
A while ago Zivit decided that anyone that was late for a core team meeting had to buy sushi. So, she brought sushi to the meeting yesterday.......... Me and Meytal were late, so I guess it's our turn next!
I just love Iceland for so many reasons! Here is another! This is just too f***ing funny!
WE ARE GOING TO THE DEAD SEA TOMORROW, SO DON'T EXPECT ANY UPDATES UNTIL FRIDAY!
